Project Generation Facility is an initiative of Open Society Institute Budapest that supports a comprehensive response at the level of four countries (Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Romania) which is directed towards a better use of structural funds for social inclusion of Roma.
Purpose of the intervention in Romania: to provide technical assistance and develop local capacities at the level of potential Roma structural funds beneficiaries in order to access the EU-funded projects to implement the priorities of Roma Inclusion Decade.
OSI selected national partners to implement the initiative in Romania through a consortium formed by three organizations experienced in developing and facilitating community processes, namely the NGO development and promoting partnership between them and public authorities. The actors are Civil Society Development Foundation, the Romanian Social Development Fund and Association for Public Policy Institute.
Implementation period: October 2009 - September 2010, with possibility of contract extension for another one year, according to the recorded results.
